"Canggu" covers a strip of villages, and price and character shift as you move inland or along the coast.

• Batu Bolong (5 listings): the walkable café strip. The HAUS Canggu units are 1-bedroom apartments from IDR 23 million to IDR 30 million a month, a short walk to Bali Social Club and the Batu Bolong beach road.

Long term rental Canggu price: monthly vs yearly

Yearly contracts across the sample run from IDR 190 million to IDR 1,540 million, with a median of IDR 300 million. Based on a sample of 28 listings where both monthly and yearly rates are quoted, paying yearly instead of month-to-month saves around 17% on average.

If you're planning to stay six months or longer, ask about a yearly rate even on a place listed as monthly. Some owners, like Casa Suhana, set a minimum stay of 3 months, and Villa Fae requires 6 months, which reflects the same logic: longer stays are priced lower per month than short monthly bookings.

Pet-friendly and private pool options in Canggu

Of the 33 listings, 22 are pet-friendly and 16 have a private (not shared) pool. Private-pool 1-bedroom townhouses are a specific sweet spot here: the Tropicana Valley units in Buduk all sit at IDR 30 million a month with their own pool, which is the same price as several shared-pool apartments in Batu Bolong and Berawa.

If a private pool or pets are non-negotiable, filter directly on pet-friendly Canggu rentals or private-pool Canggu rentals rather than checking listings one by one.
