This Privacy Policy explains how Samba Rentals (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares
information when you use the owner portal and website at sambarentals.com
(the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name,
email address, profile picture, and a Google account identifier. We use this to create and
secure your account.
- Property information. The details you submit about your properties —
descriptions, photos, location, pricing, availability, and contact details you choose to provide.
- Usage and analytics data. Aggregated, non-identifying data about how
listings are viewed, opened, and shared, which we show you as analytics for your properties.
- Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by our payment provider
and merchant of record, Paddle. We do not collect or store your card or bank details.
Paddle provides us with limited information such as your subscription status and a customer identifier.
2. How we use information
- To operate the Service — create your account, review and publish your listings, and show
your analytics.
- To process and manage your subscription (via Paddle).
- To communicate with you about your account, listings, or the Service.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
- Service providers. We use trusted providers to run the Service, including
Google (sign-in), Paddle (payments), and our hosting and infrastructure providers. They process
data on our behalf.
- Your published listing. Property content you submit is, once approved and
active, displayed to rental booking agents and visitors — that is the purpose of the Service.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect
our rights, users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies
We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in to your account. Our payment
provider may set cookies needed to process checkout. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and property information for as long as your account is active, and as
needed to provide the Service or comply with legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your
account and associated data (see Contact below).
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal
information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights, or
ask any privacy question, by contacting us.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method
of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date
above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
